Start/Finish: The course starts at 6pm on Saturday and finishes at 5pm on Wednesday Deposit: £200 per person Group size: Maximum 6 photographers Fitness level: A reasonable level of fitness is required as most locations involve walking, sometimes over uneven ground and occasionally uphill. | Trip Details This trip is set up to maximise our time during dawn and sunset. These are after all the magic hours and where most great photographic images are created. Arrival & Introduction 6.00pm We will meet at the excellent Kinlochewe hotel in the small village of Kinlochewe where I will introduce myself and cover what we will be doing over the week. 7:00 - 8:00pm Dinner 8:00 - 9:00pm I will present a talk on my approaches to landscape photography. Daily Schedule 7:00 - 9:00am We will be on location for first light! This is really where it all begins. Being the most important part of the day, we will have opportunity to shoot some of the Torridon locations with exceptional lighting. 9:00 - 10:00am Breakfast. Back to the hotel for some food and wamth before taking an hour out of our schedule to relax, have a shower, take a rest. 11:00 - 4:00pm Shooting outdoors in and around the surrounding area. I'll be covering aspects of composition with you all in an informal setting. Each member of the group is encouraged to explore the surrounding location. 4:00 - 6:00pm On location for sunset in the Torridon area. 6:00 - 8:00pm Dinner 8:00 - 9:30pm Critique session & digital workflow. We will select one shot from each member to discuss and I will show you how the image may be improved and the steps involved from RAW file to final print. |
